Diamonds and Wine, The picture of Luxury and Class, seemingly reserved only for those who have somehow transcended social class. But there is something trembling beneath, a process which longs to scream it’s importance. The luminating Sparkle of the Diamond, and the Ting of the well bodied wine glass, mask a story. They each have a story, but more importantly, they each have a process. The Process is Crucial, The Process is how they BECOME.
No diamond is mined in it’s magnificent state, these precious stones never start in Black Velvet Boxes with fluorescent lights highlighting their depth, oh quite the contrary. A diamond is dug out of a mine, with little light, poor circulation, deep underground with dank conditions. A rough stone with no physical promise of brilliance to the naked eye, yet to the one who knows, there is a precious stone to be unfolded. Something of Value, Worth, Prominence, and Brilliance. Each diamond comes to be, from darkness to light. It has a story.
Sun Scorched Vines propagate the blessed hope of bottle worthy grapes. Unfortunately for the wine maker, the vines do not produce ready made glass bottles with top notch flavor, and clever marketing labels boasting it’s brilliance. Oh no, the brilliance of wine is wrapped up in the process in which it undergoes. We forget that the wine that so easily rolls down our throats first started as nothing more than grapes. Fruit hanging from a vine, which will inevitably be picked, crushed, skinned, and battered into the shape it must take to fit properly into that bottle. Somehow those measly grapes take on a New Flavor and produce rave reviews. The process is complex but the product is unimaginable, and….Spectacular.
